Hello Everyone!

I was linked to this by one of the ladies after I emailed asking loads of questions (blush) about Aristasia.

I was curious, what does everyone do for a living? I'm currently in graduate school, hoping to become a psychologist some day.

Re: Hello Everyone!

When I was ten, some educationy person (fortunately, I managed to avoid such people for most of my childhood) asked me "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Well, what I wanted to be, of course, was a Lady. But the bourgeoisie seem to confuse what one wants to be with what one has to do. This, I understand, is known as the Protestant Work Ethic.

Anyway, answering the well-intentioned lady in what I took to be her own terms, I said "a rentier". It was a term I had encountered recently in a book and it struck me as the only sort of commercial occupation that sounded remotely bearable.

I am still striving to attain that status by various wheelings and dealings (the Ws and Ds mostly executed by the brunette side of things). I hope to be there very soon!

Ah what it is to be a career-girl! It occupies one's mind easily twice a month.

As for the girls in the District who have what I believe are termed "regular jobs", teaching, librarianship and academicaries seem to preponderate vastly.
